Maumelle Animal Shelter is a government service and works closely with Maumelle Friends of the Animals; a non-profit organization. MFOA may be thought of as taking the shelter's overflow. Maumelle Animal Shelter (425 Hyman Drive - 851-6219) is the best place to see adoptable pets. (10-5, M - F and 10-4, Sat). MFOA animals may be seen at PetSmart in NLR and online at Our Dogs and Our Cats.
Directions from I-430:
- Take exit 12 (Maumelle Blvd). North towards Maumelle (approx 5 miles).
- Fourth light, rurn RIGHT (Carnahan Drive).
- One short block. RIGHT onto Hyman Drive.
- One mile to go. Follow Hyman to a left 90 degree curve.
- Follow Hyman to where it curves right.
- Animal Services is on the left in the curve; across from the dog park.
